Take with you (90% of students forget something on this list at least once — and 90% of experienced photographers and pros do, too):
- Camera!
- charged batteries — 1 in the camera, one spare. Check their charges before you leave home. Some unused batteries don’t hold their charge for any length of time.
- Camera cards – empty (2) – remember to format them before you use/re-use
- Optional: lens cleaning cloth
- Always carry spares. Batteries and cards fail. Some cameras aren’t very precise at telling you how much charge your battery still has.
