Waitlist

I’ve emailed waitlisted students.  Undergrads need my approval; you should email me your reasons and qualifications for taking the course.  Frankly, I’ve had both good and bad experiences with undergrads, so I’m cautious about admitting you.

Grad students are probably waitlisted for irrelevant bureaucratic reasons. The course is not full. Please come to first meeting.

Textbook!

Mike Kuniavsky, Observing the User Experience: A Practitioner’s Guide to User Research, Morgan Kaufmann. Please buy. Not in ASUC bookstore.

Welcome

This blog and the course syllabus are under development. Check back soon for details.

Syllabus will be similar to Spring 2010 (but updated and significantly revised).

We will experiment with more of a workshop format — doing and discussing, with less lecturing.

The major product will be a user experience research project, which may be individual or group.  You may already have a topic, an organization, a product, a website, or something similar that would be a good subject for a project.
