Create a common platform for all Peace Corps events that allows for increased organic participation.
Challenge
Create a mobile app that would enable the user to find, create and register for Peace Corps events in their area.
Background
The Peace Corps uses in-person events in almost all aspects of our work. Examples of events include Volunteer run community meetings on malaria prevention, general information sessions held by recruiters to attract applicants, presentations at schools by former volunteers to share the cultural learnings of the service, and community service meet-ups by returned volunteers in a city. The majority of these events happen organically and without coordination. The belief is if we create a common platform the number and impact of these events will increase due to greater awareness and participation.
