April 15: Special guest presentation!

Info 214 invites the extended I School community to join us for this special class session on Research & Design for Accessibility, featuring two respected experts in the field of accessibility and universal design. Lucy Greco and Jesse Hausler will discuss a range of topics, answer audience questions, and present informative demos for this open, interactive session.

Lucy Greco with PecanLucy Greco is an avid technology geek who loves to play with all kinds of technology. She is interested in making sure that all technology can be used by people with and without disabilities. She has worked at UC Berkeley for the past 9 years as an Assistive Technology (AT) Specialist, and more recently as a Web Access Expert. Lucy uses her background of working with students with a variety of disabilities to advise developers at Berkeley on how to make their web sites and applications as accessible as possible to everyone.

Jesse Hausler

Jesse Hausler is the Lead Accessibility Specialist at salesforce.com, where he promotes universal design as a means of obtaining computer access for all of their customers. Prior to moving to San Francisco, Jesse worked in accessibility and disability services at US Patent and Trademark Office as well as Colorado State University, where he helped students with disabilities meet and exceed their personal and academic goals with assistive technology. Jesse is passionate about telemark skiing and manual photography.
