It seems that the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is not exactly excited about Jamie Oliver’s plans to do a second season of Food Revolution there. Apparently there are rumors that even though the food may have been great in Huntington, VA, it wasn’t so great for their bottom line. 1. This is interesting. I don’t know if this is a part of their publicity gimmick, or even if it’s actually weaved into the show in some way, but it is a genuine concern raised by the authorities with the budget cuts I think. If Jamie takes this up as a challenge and cooks a meal which costs less than 70c a serving he is definitely going to garner a lot of attention and perhaps would also serve to be a role model for several schools across the country. Very curious though, how much do you the folks in WV are paying per serving after Jamie “reformed” the system there? Would be nice if there was a way to know that!
