Draw on one or more of the readings (Heilbroner, Jenkins, Manovich, McLuhan, Williams ) to discuss a particular media form or technological innovation. What insights do these authors make available that help us understand the development and emergence of your technology or tool. Shape your discussion in a way so that you arrive at some preliminary evaluation of technological determinism (3 pages, double spaced).

    I didn’t pick up the paper copies of the articles for Friday because I thought they were already in the textbook, but just to be sure I’m reading the right ones, can anyone tell me what the title of McLuhan article should be?

    Also, does anybody have copies of The Practice of Everyday Media and Textual Poachers that I can borrow tomorrow for the day?
