Building a mobile app at the Hackathon? You’re invited to compete at >play!   The UC Berkeley School of Information is excited to partner with the Haas School of Business and ApartmentList.com to connect Hackathon participants with the >play conference! Entirely student-run by a team of dedicated volunteers, >play is now recognized as one of the flagship conferences in the Bay Area. Every year, attendees, speakers, and sponsors come together for this day-long event to: – Learn from leading innovators in the industry – Interact with the hottest products and technologies in digital media and entertainment – Connect with each other in a fun and interactive environment This event is a great opportunity for IDH entrants who are developing mobile applications to present their work to technology industry leaders from all over the Bay Area, and compete for a $1000 cash prize (separate from the Hackathon prizes)! How to compete at >play To be eligible, your product must be developed for mobile. Fulfill the following on Saturday, October 27:
  • 10:30 a.m. – Submit project summary to playhackathon2012@gmail.com. This includes your team name, names of team members, and a two-page PowerPoint document summarizing your project.
  • 12:30 p.m. – Finalists are announced. The first round of judging will be based on project summaries.
  • 2:30 p.m. – Finalists will present their project to judges and >play Conference attendees.
