Make a 2-to-3-minute video with sound. We will view these in class.  It should require some editing — for example, a longer video that you cut down to 3 minutes.  Better yet, a variety of shots, angles.

If you can, add a separate soundtrack. This could be in addition to the sound on the film, or instead of it. For example, you might have a video of someone speaking, but lead in and out with music.  Or have only music as a soundtrack.

Post your video where you want — YouTube, Vimeo, Lightt, wherever —  the only requirement is that everyone in the class can see it.  You can post videos on YouTube or Vimeo such that the only people who can see them are people you invite — e.g., Vimeo lets you send out a URL and, if you wish, a password, if you don’t want to make your video public.

Note: if you’re making videos with your phone, be sure you hold it horizontally!
