Team Formation

The Hacking Health team is VERY excited to see what our amazing participants will create for our SOLD OUT event Oct 18-20th!  We wanted to provide a few important details on how the Friday night session (required for all attendees) will work in terms of pitches and team formation.  This year, we’re allowing people to sign up beforehand to pitch ideas, as well as reserving a few spots for pitch signups the day of the event.  A description of the process is below.

Process for pitches and team formation:

  1. All participants will be required to join our Facebook group for receiving communication throughout the event
  2. If you’re planning to pitch your idea on Friday night, sign up for a slot and indicate which challenge it falls under here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvcygrnlXcvqdEZuRGI4enFUQmEzWTNyM1JXV0xwd1E#gid=0 **NOTE: Some spots are reserved for pitch signups the Friday afternoon of the event
  3. After the speaker series is complete on Friday, each person will have 60 seconds to pitch their idea
  4. All participants will vote on their top pick via our text voting system
  5. The top 12-15 ideas will be announced via Facebook and will move on to the next round of development
  6. Team formation will occur starting around 8pm over drinks and hors d’oeuvres
  7. Around 9pm we will post a new google doc to Facebook, where people can sign up their teams
  8. All future team communication (i.e. signups for pitch coaching, notifications of business model sessions, etc.) will be done via our Facebook group
