There was a great diversity of ideas including Mortify (an app to calculate your life expectancy), Tele-Medic (a Google Glass-enabled paramedic app) and several teams even hacked together working medical devices!

Want to build apps that change lives?

Don’t miss Hacking Health – UC Berkeley’s Hackathon focused on Digital Health!

We invite you to work towards a more connected and transparent digital health ecosystem at UC Berkeley’s third annual Hacking Health – October 18-20, 2013, at the SkyDeck | Berkeley accelerator. You’ll be amazed at what can be built in a day!

Building on the huge success and exposure from last year’s event, you’ll join professionals and students of all stripes – coders, builders, designers, marketeers, health experts and clinicians — from across the UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco campuses and the Bay Area community. Design, build and pitch solutions in just over a day. You bring the talent, the passion, and the desire to innovate and change the healthcare system. We’ll bring the rest including $11,000 of cash prizes! For more information on the three challenges for the event click on the challenges tab above.

Registration was open through Eventbrite, however we are now sold out!

In the lead up to the event we recommend you get connected through twitter and the Facebook group where we will send updates on the event as we approach the 18th October!
