Project Schedule
Week 1 (Jan 26)
Objective: To collect the sites upon which we will perform our observation and analysis. Familiarize ourselves with UX design thinking. What is UX?

LABWORK / HOMEWORK:
Form teams of 2-3 people.
For the US and China each, collect websites for your theme to analyze in the future (more details in class).
Week 2 (Feb 2)
Objective: Understand the differences between different sites via FIRST-HAND analysis. Readings will support.

REPORT 1
Part 1: Introduction
In less than half a page, state which industry of UI you are addressing and list the main websites you are including in this comparison.
Part 2: Show & Tell
Following the model of the Dan’s Blog, please 1) title the difference you see, 2) show images/gifs of the difference you see, 3) explain the differences, including where/when/why you would see this or come across this specific thing.
Part 3: Discussion
In 1/2-1page, discuss what you’ve seen, what you’ve noticed overall, and mention anything you feel is important to share to the reader.
Week 6 (March 2)
Objective: Share Report 1 with classmates

HOMEWORK:
REPORT 1.5 (work flow analysis review)
Create a document (can be ppt or pdf format) in which you compare/contrast the workflow between an American UI and Chinese UI. For example, if tackling music, you might select “Create a playlist to listen to” and document your attempt to do this tasks on a Chinese & US site. Do this for 2-3 tasks.
Make sure you create a work flow diagram for each task on each site, and take screenshots of your process. You should do an analysis for each Task Comparison and a conclusion at the end for your findings.
